Today I went down to the docks in my lunch break intending to draw some boats. It rained. I took a selection of photos and did one high-speed sketch. With rain on it.

I should say, though, that the rained-on pavements smelled amazing (warm dust and ozone), that the boats were beautiful (polished brass bits and glossy wood bits and richly-coloured rusty bits and pleasantly stained sailcloth), and that I loved being by the water even if too much of it was falling out of the sky.
