yarn, skeins and the great unravel

September 15, 2011 § 2 Comments

Life is busy at the moment. I’m spending five days a week helping students at our local college do various arty things (and learning about video production while I’m there, which is an unexpected bonus on a day job), and the rest of the time has been filled with family and friends – it is birthday season, which is fun, and also a time for illness, which is less so.

Anyway, in between all that, the knitting obsession is back with a vengeance. I am unravelling a jumper (more of that in another post when I’ve got some pictures together) to make it into something wearable, and longing for a room like this one belonging to textile artist Jo Hamilton:-

(image from the amazing Work.Place project, which delights the nosey old woman in me) (knitting stuff! books! sewing stuff! more books! nice rug! books and books! bloody lovely.)

And, as well, I just really want this bag to keep all the curly tangly badly-behaved unravelled wool in until I can dye it…
